Strings in the latest beta reveal Telegram is working on local #translation support. Language models will be downloaded to the device, enabling faster and more private translations without needing the cloud.

📰 Looks like fact checking is about to start working. The kod.ru publication (@d_code) discovered a fact-checking function in the upcoming new stable version.

The photo shows the first example of its work. A red block will appear under the text of the post, where Telegram itself explained that Durov did not make such a statement. We are talking about the post where «the Panorama publication reported on Durov's announcement of the messenger's departure from the Russian market», which is indeed not true - Panorama is a satirical media - this was added by the We TON channel later.

📰 The latest mobile beta versions have removed the settings related to translations (button display, ability to translate the entire chat and exclusion of languages to translations). We hope they will correct the misunderstanding in the releases.
