Telegram faces a fine of up to 18 million rubles
On August 16, a protocol was drawn up on the Telegram messenger for repeated non-compliance with legislation in the field of localizing data of Russian users in the Russian Federation, according to the portal of the single information space of justices of the peace in Moscow.
The date for the consideration of the protocol has not yet been set. The messenger faces a fine of 6 to 18 million rubles.

On Telegram, a protocol was drawn up not under Part 9 of Art. 13.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, and according to Part 5 of Art. 13.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
For this reason, the messenger in Russia does not face a fine of 6 to 18 million rubles. The maximum fine that Telegram can issue is 90,000 rubles .
Telegram is accused of failing to comply with the requirements of the subject of personal data or the authorized body on their clarification, blocking or destruction within the established time limits.
