Telegram faces a fine of up to 18 million rubles
On August 16, a protocol was drawn up on the Telegram messenger for repeated non-compliance with legislation in the field of localizing data of Russian users in the Russian Federation, according to the portal of the single information space of justices of the peace in Moscow.
The date for the consideration of the protocol has not yet been set. The messenger faces a fine of 6 to 18 million rubles.

The press service of the court clarified that a blot was made in the file of court cases. On Telegram, a protocol was drawn up not under Part 9 of Art. 13.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, and according to Part 5 of Art. 13.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
For this reason, the messenger in Russia does not face a fine of 6 to 18 million rubles. The maximum fine that Telegram can issue is 90,000 rubles .
Telegram is accused of failing to comply with the requirements of the subject of personal data or the authorized body on their clarification, blocking or destruction within the established time limits.

Telegram✈️ blocked in Somalia
The Somali government has decided to block the TikTok🎵 and Telegram✈️ apps, as well as the online betting site 1XBET, in the country, saying they are being used by "terrorists" for propaganda purposes.
According to the ministry, these platforms are being used by "terrorists" and "immorality groups" to distribute violent images and videos and mislead the public.
The decision comes ahead of a second phase of a military offensive against the radical Islamist Shebab, who have been waging a bloody uprising against the central government in Mogadishu for more than 15 years.
The Ministry of Communications and Technology said in a statement that it has ordered ISPs to cut off access to the three platforms by August 24. In case of non-compliance with the requirement, legal measures will be taken against them, the nature of which is not specified.
