The day has come. Telegram channels can now post Stories!

Stories on Telegram are more visible than in most apps, because they are displayed right on the main screen. Obviously, we couldn’t let channels flood users with Stories without reasonable limits: this would create too much noise in your Chats.

This is why we designed the Boost system. With Boosts, users can give their favorite channels the ability to post stories. More boosts mean more stories per day for a channel. Every 24 hours users can reassign their boost.

In the future, boosts will also unlock other features for channels, such as custom reactions, emoji statuses or custom backgrounds. We’ll also introduce more ways for channels to get Boosts.

To prevent abuse, only Premium users can boost channels. It shouldn’t be hard to collect Boosts for channels with real subscribers, while those with fake followers may struggle (larger channels need more Boosts to unlock stories).

Hey all we're at level 2 ( Thank you everyone especially 9 guys who boosted). Premium 😀 users can use One boost ⚡ that can be assigned to any channel. Users may move their boost to a different channel once every 24 hours. So if you don't like our channel you can move your boost to another channel and vice versa. Use it very carefully and don't waste your boosts.

This "boost" is going to be a game changer.

Channel Boosts FAQ

Channels can now share stories. If you're a Telegram Premium subscriber, you can help your favorite channels by boosting them.

With your🌟 Telegram Premium subscription, you get one boost on top of your other perks – which you can give to any channel. Channels that reach Level 1 are able to post one story per day. The more boosts a channel has, the more stories it can post – letting users decide which channels they want to see stories from.

Q: Why do bigger channels need more boosts?
A: To reach Level 1, a channel currently needs boosts from 0.4% of its subscribers. So, more subscribers mean more total boosts are required.

Q: How many levels are there?
A: There are 100 levels. A Level 100 channel can share up to 100 stories a day.

Q: How long does my boost last?
A: Once you boost a channel, it keeps your boost unless your Premium expires or you decide to boost another channel.

Q: Can I switch my boost to a different channel?
A: Yes, you can move your boost to another channel every 24 hours.

Q: Can I buy spare boosts?
A: Currently, that’s not possible. We may introduce more ways to get boosts for channels later.

The number of boosts⚡ for obtaining a new level on channels has been reduced

Now, to get the next level, the channel needs a number of boost equal to 0.1% (1/1000 part) of the total number of its subscribers👤.

Let us remind you that previously this required 0.4% (1/250) of the boosts⚡.
