A visual of Telegram’s upcoming account “freeze” notice has surfaced online. The feature is currently being tested on internal servers, where the first cases of such restrictions have already been observed.

❄️ First frozen accounts

The first frozen accounts have started to appear in the current version of Telegram. In the screenshot above, you can see what such users look like from the outside and what they see.

In mid-March, it became known that Telegram would introduce a mechanism for “freezing” accounts. Violators who fall under it will be able to use the profile only in “Read-only” mode.

“Freezing” implies a ban on sending messages and any interactions on the platform. At the same time, such users will have the opportunity to appeal the restriction through the official bot - if this is not done within a certain period of time, the account will be deleted.
