📰 #Tip: HOTKEYS FOR TELEGRAM DESKTOP (or KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS)!

⌨️ BASIC HOTKEYS:
• (Ctrl)+Enter — send message (customizable).
• Ctrl+W/F4 — minimize the app to the taskbar.
• Ctrl+M — minimize Telegram.
• Ctrl+L — lock Telegram (if a local password is set).
• Ctrl+Q — completely close the app.
• Ctrl+R — mark the chat selected by the cursor as read.
• Ctrl+J — open Contacts.
• Alt+Right-click on chat — preview chat.
• Ctrl+Right-click on chat — open chat in a separate window.
• Alt+Shift+Right-click — combination after hovering over…
◦ "Add account" — authorize on the test server.
◦ Any account — open the account in a separate window, copy the phone number, and quick deauthorization.
• Ctrl+\ — more chat actions.

🔍 NAVIGATION:
• Alt+↓/↑ or CTRL+PageDown/Up — next/previous chat.
• PageDown/Up — jump to next/previous chat.
• Ctrl+Alt+Home/End — first/last chat.
• Ctrl+F — open search.
• ↑/↓ — select chat in the list.
🆕 • Ctrl+(Shift)+Tab — switch to recent chat.

💬

CHAT HOTKEYS:
• ↑/↓ — very slow chat scroll.
• Ctrl+↑/↓ — select messages for quick reply or viewing publication.
• Ctrl+↓ — cancel reply if you are on the last message.
• ↑ — edit the last message.
• Ctrl+Left-click on:
◦ reply bar — jump to the message selected for reply.
◦ via @inlinebot — view the profile of this bot.
• holding CTRL or Shift — faster chat scroll with mouse wheel.
• Delete — delete selected messages.
• Ctrl+O — open system file explorer to send to Telegram.
• Ctrl+R — record voice message.
• Esc — cancel reply or action, exit chat.

FORMATTING HOTKEYS:
• Ctrl+B — bold.
• Ctrl+I — italic.
• Ctrl+U — underline.
• Ctrl+K — hyperlinks.
• Ctrl+Shift+X — ~~strikethrough~~.
• Ctrl+Shift+M — monospace.

Formats as code if the entire line is selected as monospace.

• Ctrl+Shift+point — quote.

• Ctrl+Shift+N — remove formatting.

📁 FOLDER HOTKEYS:
• Ctrl+Shift+↓/↑ — next/previous folder.
• Ctrl+1 — General chat list, "All" folder.
• Ctrl+2…7 — switch to folder 1…6.
• Ctrl+8 — switch to last folder.
• Ctrl+9 — switch to Archive.
• Ctrl+0 — switch to Favorites.
📌 If there are no folders, CTRL+1…8 opens pinned chat 1…8.

📹 MEDIA VIEWER HOTKEYS:
• ←/→ — scroll media.
• Space — pause/play video.
• Ctrl + NumPad+/- — zoom in/out.

🪒 QUICKSHARE HOTKEYS:
• ↑/↓ — navigate chats.
• Enter — select chat.
• Backspace/Delete — delete chat.
• Ctrl+Enter — send message.

🖱 MOUSE OPERATIONS:

• Double click — react or select for reply (customizable).
• Drag message — forward to another chat.
• Right-click on send — silent or scheduled send.
• Mouse wheel in chat list — mute/pin/mark read/archive/delete; if change folder is selected, the wheel option is disabled.
